KLK Receives Company of the Year Award for Sustainability & CSR Excellence (Plantation)

We are proud to announce that Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad has been selected as a recipient for the CSR Malaysia’s Company of the Year Award for Sustainability & CSR Excellence (Plantation) in the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2020.

Organised by CSR Malaysia, the annually held awards initiative is a platform to celebrate outstanding achievers and inspiring corporations for their efforts to create a better Malaysia through their sustainability and corporate social responsibility endeavours.

This year, CSR Malaysia honoured 41 Malaysian corporations from various industries. The recipients were selected by a panel of high calibre judges representing corporate and social bodies. Judging criteria were based on the clear purpose and goals of the company in their CSR initiative, together with the impact created and frequency of CSR events held.

The award was presented at a private award presentation ceremony by Mr Lee Seng Chee, CSR Malaysia Managing Director and Co-Chairman on Monday, 23 November 2020 at Vivatel Kuala Lumpur.

Mill Management Trainee
Based in: Peninsular Malaysia/ Sabah
Responsibilities
- Assists Mill Manager to ensure compliance with all Company operating policies, procedures and standing instructions. - Assist Mill Manager to plan, organize, implement and control overall mill operation. - Ensure that machines are well maintained for optimum operation of the processes. - Supervise technicians to perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations of parts and machines. - Monitor and ensure the supervisors and production workers are competent in performing their daily production works. - To support mill operation and administration in ensuring that all the activities are in compliance with company policy and standard requirements.
Requirements
- Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from recognized university with minimum CGPA 3.0. - Those with experience with palm oil mill operations will be an added advantage. - Fast learner, independent and self-motivated. - Able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties. - Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Willing to be transferred and relocated. - Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.

Estate Supervisor
Based in: Perak
Responsibilities
- To monitor and provide supervision to ensure smooth running field operations. - Assist in supervising daily operation, field maintenance and nursery management. - Assist in estate operational management including utilization of human capital and materials, reduce and mitigate the pests and disease attack in plantation. - To manage store (fertilizer, chemicals, POL, etc), machinery, and other tools. - To prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports. - To support estate administration in ensuring that all activities are in compliance with RSPO, MSPO & OSH requirements. - Any other tasks as assigned by superior.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Agriculture/ Plantation or any relevant field. - At least 1-2 years of working experience in plantation environment. - Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Work independently, dynamic and result oriented. - Good people management, communication and report writing skills. - Willing to work and live in plantation environment. - Willing to relocate.

Hospital Assistant (Based in Estate)
Based in: Johor
Responsibilities
-Responsible for running and maintaining estate clinics/dispensary. -To examine and treat minor ailments. -To dispense medicines, inoculations and perform minor surgeries such as lancing and draining the local infection. -To support estate or mill manager in ensuring that all clinic/dispensary operations are in compliance with the Environment, Safety & Health (ESH) as well as statutory regulations. -To prepare medicine requisitions, and account for the receipts and issue of drugs and medicines.
Requirements
- Possess Sijil Pembantu Pengawai Perubatan Grade I, II or III from Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, and must be registered with EHA Board (LPPHE) and those with working experience as Hospital Assistant. - Diploma in Medical Assistant from related nursing schools and registered with Lembaga Pembantu Perubatan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. - At least 2 years of working experience in related field. - Responsible and able to work independently. - Willing to work and live in plantation environment.
