KLK Appoints Shahril Ridza Ridzuan as Director

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) has appointed Tan Sri Shahril Ridza Ridzuan as an Independent and Non-Executive Director effective 2 May 2023.

Tan Sri Shahril is currently the Chairman of Axiata Group Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He also sits on the Board of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad.

Previously, Tan Sri Shahril led Khazanah Nasional Berhad as its Managing Director from August 2018 to August 2021, where he worked towards striking a balance between growing financial returns at the national sovereign fund whilst also ensuring long-term benefits for future generations of Malaysians.

Before that, Tan Sri Shahril served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia (“EPF”) from April 2013 to August 2018. He joined EPF as Deputy CEO (Investments) in December 2009. During his tenure at EPF, he also served as a Non-Executive Board Member of Media Prima Berhad, Malaysia Building Society Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (“MRCB”) and IJN Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Prior to joining EPF, Tan Sri Shahril was the Managing Director of MRCB from 2003 to 2009, where he was responsible for developing Kuala Lumpur Sentral into one of the main commercial centres in Malaysia.

Tan Sri Shahril holds a Master of Arts from Cambridge University and a Bachelor of Civil Law from Oxford University and has been called to the Malaysian Bar and the Bar of England and Wales.

AGRICULTURE AUDIT EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities

Sustainability EXECUTIVE

- Assists Mill Manager to ensure compliance with all Company operating policies, procedures and standing instructions. - Assist Mill Manager to plan, organize, implement and control overall mill operation. - Ensure that machines are well maintained for optimum operation of the processes. - Supervise technicians to perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations of parts and machines. - Monitor and ensure the supervisors and production workers are competent in performing their daily production works. - To support mill operation and administration in ensuring that all the activities are in compliance with company policy and standard requirements.
Requirements
- Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from recognized university with minimum CGPA 3.0. - Those with experience with palm oil mill operations will be an added advantage. - Fast learner, independent and self-motivated. - Able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties. - Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Willing to be transferred and relocated. - Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.

Estate Supervisor
Based in: Pahang & Kelantan
Responsibilities
- To monitor and provide supervision to ensure smooth running field operations. - Assist in supervising daily operation, field maintenance and nursery management. - Assist in estate operational management including utilization of human capital and materials, reduce and mitigate the pests and disease attack in plantation. - To manage store (fertilizer, chemicals, POL, etc), machinery, and other tools. - To prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports. - To support estate administration in ensuring that all activities are in compliance with RSPO, MSPO & OSH requirements. - Any other tasks as assigned by superior.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Agriculture/ Plantation or any relevant field. - At least 1-2 years of working experience in plantation environment. - Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Work independently, dynamic and result oriented. - Good people management, communication and report writing skills. - Willing to work and live in plantation environment. - Willing to relocate.

Hospital Assistant (Based in Estate)
Based in: Johor
Responsibilities
-Responsible for running and maintaining estate clinics/dispensary. -To examine and treat minor ailments. -To dispense medicines, inoculations and perform minor surgeries such as lancing and draining the local infection. -To support estate or mill manager in ensuring that all clinic/dispensary operations are in compliance with the Environment, Safety & Health (ESH) as well as statutory regulations. -To prepare medicine requisitions, and account for the receipts and issue of drugs and medicines.
Requirements
- Possess Sijil Pembantu Pengawai Perubatan Grade I, II or III from Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, and must be registered with EHA Board (LPPHE) and those with working experience as Hospital Assistant. - Diploma in Medical Assistant from related nursing schools and registered with Lembaga Pembantu Perubatan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. - At least 2 years of working experience in related field. - Responsible and able to work independently. - Willing to work and live in plantation environment.
